Invoice SimpleInvoicing should not have a meter.
Invoice Simple is built for the phone in your pocket, then charges by how many invoices you send. Drupd is built for the work, and never counts.

Not a feature count for its own sake. Drupd wins where billing speed and the finished invoice matter, and steps aside where Invoice Simple is doing a different, heavier job.
Invoice Simple nails invoicing from a phone, and Drupd is not a pocket receipt-maker. Drupd makes one bet: a beautiful invoice, sent in under three minutes, paid on any rail your client prefers, anywhere in the world, with no cap on how many you send.
Every template is hand-typeset and server-rendered at true A4, so what lands in your client's inbox looks designed, not stamped out of a phone app. And where Invoice Simple's cheaper plans stop you at three or ten invoices a month and its online payments are US-centric, Drupd is flat, unlimited, and global, with crypto and country-aware bank fields on the invoice itself.
The same work, two very different tools.
An ember check marks the side that leads; a dash means that tool leaves it to the other, on purpose.
Four reasons the switch pays off.
01 / No meter
Unlimited invoices, not three a month
Invoice Simple's $6.99 plan stops you at three invoices a month, and even its $13.49 plan caps you at ten; only the $19.99 top tier is unlimited. Drupd never counts. Send as many invoices to as many clients as the work demands, free to start, then $6 a month flat.
02 / The artifact
An invoice that looks like you charge what you charge
Five handcrafted templates, typeset to the millimetre and server-rendered at true A4, carry your brand color, your logo, and even your crypto wallet icons. The PDF a client opens is a beautiful, professional document, not a quick page stamped out of a phone app.
03 / Payments
Get paid anywhere, on any rail
Card link, bank details with country-aware fields, and five crypto chains, all one-click-copy on the public invoice. Invoice Simple keeps ACH, Venmo, and recurring auto-pay to US accounts, and charges 3.49% + $0.49 per card payment; Drupd takes no cut and works the same in every country.
04 / Focus
Built for the work, not just the phone
Invoice Simple is a great pocket tool for quick jobs. Drupd is a desktop-grade workspace with a client directory, recurring schedules, an API, and a true-A4 artifact, for when invoicing is a real part of how you get paid.
04 · The price
Unlimited invoices, never metered, where $6.99 buys three a month and unlimited means the $19.99 tier.
The invoice is the part your client sees.
Every other screen serves this one document, so we treat it as a thing worth crafting. Drupd hand-typesets each template and renders it server-side at true A4 — your brand color, logo, and payment details set with a designer’s care — so the invoice landing in your client’s inbox looks deliberate, polished, and unmistakably professional. Not generated. Made.

Fair questions.
The honest answers, including the ones where Invoice Simple is the better fit.
Invoice Simple starts at $6.99. Is Drupd really better value?
Look at what $6.99 buys: three invoices a month. Send a fourth and you are pushed toward the $13.49 plan (ten invoices) or the $19.99 unlimited tier. Drupd is $6/mo flat for unlimited invoices to unlimited clients, with a genuinely free plan on top. If you send more than a handful of invoices a month, Drupd is both cheaper and uncapped.
I invoice from my phone. Does Drupd have an app?
Drupd is a responsive web app, so it works in any phone browser, but there is no native iOS or Android app, and that is the honest trade. Invoice Simple is mobile-first and excellent for tapping out a quick invoice on site. Drupd is built for the desktop-grade workflow: a client directory, recurring schedules, an API, and a far more polished document.
I have clients outside the US. Will Invoice Simple work?
Card and PayPal work broadly, but Invoice Simple's ACH bank transfer, Venmo, and automatic recurring payments are US-only. Drupd puts IBAN, SWIFT, and other country-aware bank fields plus crypto wallets right on the invoice, so a client anywhere can pay you without a US account.
Does Drupd take a percentage of my payments?
No. Drupd never takes a cut; you pay only your own card processor's fee, or nothing at all on bank transfer and crypto. Invoice Simple does not mark up the processor either, but its card rate runs 3.49% + $0.49, and switching fees to your client bumps even ACH to 3.49%.
