Refund Policy
How cancellations, refunds, and statutory withdrawal rights work on Drupd. Short version: cancel anytime, EU/UK consumers keep their 14-day right, and we'll do the fair thing if something's gone wrong.
Overview
Drupd subscriptions are billed through Polar, which acts as the merchant of record for paid plans. Polar issues your receipt, collects and remits applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax), and handles refunds for Drupd subscriptions.
This page explains how cancellations, refunds, and consumer-withdrawal rights work in plain language. Where this page conflicts with the Terms of Service or Polar's own terms, the Terms of Service and Polar's terms control as applicable.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your Drupd subscription at any time from billing settings or the Polar customer portal linked from your account.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to paid features until that date, after which your account moves to the free tier. We don't auto-delete your data on downgrade — your workspace, clients, and invoice history stay intact within the limits of the free plan.
There is no cancellation fee.
General refund position
Except where required by applicable law (see EU/UK Consumer Rights below) or where we explicitly agree otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable. That includes unused time on a current billing period, partial periods after a downgrade, paid time during outages or maintenance, and dissatisfaction with the product.
We don't offer pro-rated refunds for plan downgrades — the unused portion of your paid period applies to the higher tier until renewal.
Renewal charges that you forgot to cancel before the renewal date are also non-refundable as a matter of policy, but we'll consider exceptions in good faith on a case-by-case basis (see Discretionary refunds below).
EU & UK consumer rights (14-day withdrawal)
If you're a consumer based in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital-services contract within 14 days of placing your order, without giving any reason.
Because Drupd is a digital service that starts immediately, you'll be asked to expressly consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once we begin providing the service. This consent is usually collected at checkout. If you did not give that consent, or if your local law treats it differently, your 14-day right remains and you can request a full refund of your most recent charge within 14 days of the purchase by emailing billing@drupd.com.
This statutory right does not apply to business (B2B) customers, and it does not apply to renewals of an ongoing subscription that you previously consented to.
Nothing on this page limits any non-waivable consumer right that applies to you under the law of your country of residence.
Discretionary refunds
Outside the EU/UK statutory window, we may at our sole discretion issue a partial or full refund where doing so seems fair — for example, where a renewal was clearly accidental, where a billing bug has caused an incorrect charge, or where a sustained service issue meaningfully prevented you from using the product.
If you'd like to request a discretionary refund, email billing@drupd.com within 30 days of the charge. Tell us which charge, how to identify the account, and the reason. We aim to respond within a few business days.
Discretionary refunds are not a guarantee of any future refund. Each request is reviewed on its own facts.
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are processed by Polar to the original payment method. Most refunds appear within 5–10 business days, though some banks and card networks can take longer.
If your payment method is no longer valid or has been closed, Polar will work with you to arrange an alternative refund route. Drupd itself does not hold payment funds and cannot bypass Polar's refund process.
Refunds may be net of any non-refundable taxes, FX losses, or processor fees where required by local law or the relevant payment scheme rules. Polar will set out the breakdown on the refund receipt.
Trials, promotional pricing & discounts
We may offer free trials, promotional pricing, lifetime deals, or other discounts from time to time. These offers may have specific terms (eligibility, duration, refund treatment) shown at the point of purchase, and those terms control over the general position on this page.
Trial periods do not entitle you to a refund of any subsequent paid term — to avoid the first paid charge, cancel before the trial ends. We send reminder emails ahead of trial conversion where reasonably practicable.
Chargebacks & disputes
If you disagree with a charge, please contact billing@drupd.com first. We respond quickly and would rather resolve issues directly than through a chargeback.
Chargebacks filed in bad faith, in breach of the Terms of Service, or in circumstances where a refund has already been offered or processed may result in suspension of your account, recovery of fees and costs, and bans on future signups. Where a chargeback is upheld, we will treat any related access or services as unpaid.
Refunds on termination
If we terminate your account for cause (including for violations of the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy), no refund is owed.
If we terminate your account for convenience or permanently discontinue a plan you're paying for, we may, at our discretion, refund the unused portion of the current paid term on a pro-rated basis.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material updates will be communicated by email to paying users or by a notice on the marketing site. Existing paid terms continue under the policy that was in effect when you made the purchase.
This policy was last updated on May 16, 2026.
